LITTLE Mix performed Shout Out To My Ex for the first time and they got a rather surprising reaction.
With The X Factor audience full of compliments for their new single, it seems it was Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall’s look that captured everyone’s attention.
Sending Twitter into a complete meltdown, watchers labelled their look as “stripper” like after the girls perfumed in leotards, high-waisted shorts and oversized shirts.
The criticism comes just after Mel C also labelled the four girls as “provocative”.
The former Spice Girl, 42, told the Sunday People: “I love Little Mix. I loved them from The X Factor. I just thought they were so different.
“But they are getting more provocative. To me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we’ve seen.
“They are all gorgeous and great singers. But they weren’t sexy and it’s got more and more that way. I love them – but I just say, ‘Stay you’.”

Little Mix perform on the X Factor live shows in 2011 [YouTube]
After winning the show 5 years ago the Little Mix ladies are set to perform with Fleur East at this weekend’s X Factor final – we take a look at their transformation through the years
But is Little Mix’s style really that much of a shock? Has it changed that much since their win in 2012? Not everyone agrees.
Jumping to Twitter to defend the girls, one fan was outraged to hear the criticism.
She said: “Why are Little Mix being slated for their outfits? for wearing leotards? Like when will body shaming stop? It’s 2016? #ShoutoutToMyEx.”
Another added: “People slagging off #LittleMix outfits!! Like seriously, was that really the worse thing about that show!! They looked great #XFactor.”
After four years in the spotlight, here’s a look back at how the Black Magic singer’s style has evolved:
As Tulisa’s girl band on the show, the chart toppers were aged between just 18-21. Performing every weekend, the girls have always been a fan of co-ordinating their outfits.
Rocking mini leather skirts and lace shorts, here’s proof the girls are all about trends and individual style.
After a year out in the spotlight, Perrie and her amazing girls returned to The X Factor stage to perform their new single move.
Covering up quite a lot, Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Zayn Malik’s ex rocked suit trousers and crop tops.
The Hair singers are still proving that sexy and classy can be a thing as they perform at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park.
Mixing it up in trousers and shorts, the four ladies all bare their toned tummies too.
The girls success has gone from strength to strength so returning to their favourite stage, they’re full of confidence and joy.
Reflecting in their outfits, the girls have opted for skimpy yet sparkly in their tasselled dancer’s leotards.
