The well loved designer has launched twelve new pairs of shoes with natural kangaroo fur lining, including mules, slippers, loafers and clogs.

The shoes featured on runways across fashion month this year and has been spotted on a handful of popular celebrities since.

Model Alexa Chung, Kendall Jenner and singer ASAP Rocky have all been spotted out an about in kangaroo fur lined shoes recently.

The furry footwear has since become a staple piece for autumn, with many high-street stores running out of the shoes.

Princes range from £515 for the Princetown embroidered slipper to £2,050 for the Jordaan crocodile Horsebit loafer.

But the new trend hasn’t gone down well with animal rights campaigners, with many left furious over the new fashion.

Mail Online, a spokesperson for Gucci said the fur was an “environmentally friendly” choice, adding: “Kangaroo harvest is one of the best examples of a well-managed harvest programme, and thus can be classified under our guidelines as a sustainable fur.”
