“I was a tiny bit menopausal and a bit ratty and grumpy because it rained so much. He was a saint through all my moods.

“We’ve been together three and a half years and we went to Paris to see the padlock bridge as we put one on together.

“It was removed as they got rid of the bridge! We had a hug and he tried to make me feel better. He was like ‘let’s take a selfie’ and as he did it he held up the ring and said: Will you marry me?

“There was no clue, it was out of the blue. We seized the day.”

The wedding

Andrea and Nick have confirmed they will be breaking a few traditions when it comes to their special day.

In an OK! Online exclusive, the TV star admitted there will be a white dress, but there won’t be a big ceremony or honeymoon.

She told us: “It will be really small – and a really small dress,” she laughed. “Well, big enough. We’re not doing anything for the honeymoon – I’ll probably just go back to work the day after!”

She revealed on the hit ITV daytime show, when asked if they got married: “No, we wanted to though, and we couldn’t. You have to be really boring and organise it before you get there.”

The bride-to-be explained: “We want to get married with just the children, and we’d already planned a family holiday anyway. So we thought we’d give it a go. But apparently you need to be a bit more organised that, you know, a week before.”
